Dancing in the Moonlight

It's as if every star in the sky began to dance with us

The shadows spun in time

The moon shone its brightest, bursting with joy

The trees clapped thier leaves in time

The very foundations of the earth lept to the sky

The clouds drifted in time

The ocean began to sing for us

As we waltzed together in time

Hot Air Balloons

It seems that all you have to do is add a hot air balloon to a picture and it immediately makes it that much more surreal and dreamlike...

Mixing Fairy Tales and Reality

There is nothing I love more than seeing a little magic put into the everyday world...

No matter what, there is no limit to imagination...

Sunday Reflections...

Sundays are a good day for reflection. I was thinking about my job, working with one to two year olds. It's crazy. There are always getting into all sorts of trouble. We tell them "walk". They smile and repeat the word. And then run across the room, trip, fall and have a meltdown. And I'm over there like "What did I just say? Did I not just tell you?" Two of them thought I would be fun to climb into the toy box and then sit there surrounded with their choice of play items. I pulled them out so many times in a row telling them "No, this is not a party bin. Go find somewhere else to play." They could hurt themselves trying to get in there. And they kept trying, and I kept stopping them until we were all frustrated. One of them sat down and cried because I wouldn't let them have their own way. And I just stood there and watched them without a shred of sympathy.

I'm the teacher. I know best. Don't do this or you're going to get hurt. And if they persist on doing it and get hurt, I'm there to pick them up and dry their tears. But what kills me is when they go and do the exact same thing over again as if they're going to get different results. "Don't run," I remind them once they are thoroughly calmed after their first episode. They may walk for a few seconds, but then they run again, probably to fall over a stray toy or to run into someone smaller than them...If only they would listen!

But then I started thinking...what about God? What if that's they way that he sees us humans? "Don't run," he says. Don't try to get ahead of His timing or we'll mess things up. But we do it anyways, fall on our face and come limping back to him humiliated. "Don't climb in that toy box," he says. "Those are not for you. I have something different for you." But we keep trying and trying and throw a fit when we can't have our on way, all the while unaware that He has something much better for us. He's the Creator. He knows best. Don't do this or we're going to get hurt. But instead of listening we choose to do things the hard way. And And instead of losing His patience as I'm inclined to do, He offers us love, mercy and grace. Now isn't that a good thought.

I just hope I'm not like one of those who just keeps doing the same thing over and over and over...cause that's embarrassing...

Ten Pictures that Inspire Me or Deserve a Story

I decided to come with the top ten coolest, most interesting and inspiring fantasy pictures I've found so far.
1. It's a palace on a mushroom! Oh, and did you see the mini helicopter?

2. A horse shaped house overlooking a waterfall. It's so beautiful. Can I just live there?

3. A castle in the clouds with a flying ship...can I just say I smell something epic!!

4. A boat floating down a river on a planet that is obviously not earth...

5. Butterfly windmills+ guy with net = interesting

6.1 and 6.2. Real life chess. It's not a game any more...

7. Watch an amazing miniature circus set come to life before your eyes!!

8. A door in the sky that leads to another world--so much potential!!!!

9. A girl riding a bull with roses around its neck through an ocean flopping with fish and a planet in the background...What the heck?

10. I couldn't decided who was more interesting: the princess with a peacock and a scorpion in her hand (?)...

...or the beautiful girl who could be anything from a princess to a traveler from strange lands or a warrioress

Well... I guess that makes 11, or technically 12...oh well

Just a question...

Angela said I should start blogging…so I guess I will. I don’t have much to say. I haven’t been thinking deeply recently. Okay, that’s a
lie. I saw a picture and I thought it was cool. And then I decided to
figure out what it meant, and it left me wondering.

A little girl caught in a crossroad between two worlds; two choices; two realities. One with so much potential for life and hope. The other filled with death and unknown dangers. It seems like an easy choice…right? So why is she just standing there? And then I started thinking about how if everything was just sunshine and birds singing then where would be the chances for adventure and challenges? Just a question...
